    quick freeloader/gamecube question

Can I use Freeloader on my PAL GC to output US/JAP games via an official component cable to get progressive scan? I know you have to hold down B at start up but have no idea weather the UK GC can accept the component cable or weather FL allows this.

    Anyone?

No, simply because PAL GC's don't have the socket for a Component cable.

My PAL cube has a Digital Out socket on? And I use it with my custom RGB cable.

Unfortunately it doesn't answer the guys question, but the port is there.

My bad. I assumed the port wasn't on PAL GC's as there is no use for it. Either way, Pro Scan was disabled on the PAL GC in the hardware so you won't get Pro Scan from it. Holding B just loads up 60hz anyway.

Prog scan/60hz support is a software thing set by individual games. I've seen prog scan running on a pal cube with an ntsc game, using a component cable. I have heard early pal cubes had prog scan capability removed in hardware, I don't know how true that is, it seems a bit odd.

PAL cubes support component. You can order the cable from Nintendo. The games themselves don't though, but some people have used freeloader with NTSC copies and got PScan working.
