    Recommend me a Printer!

    My Epson printer died on me saturday morning so I am now in the market for a new one. Was wondering if any of you people could recommend a good printer? Price range is between ?40 - ?60 as I am not as rich as I thought I was.
    Any help greatly appreciated.

    Get another Epson, perhaps a C62, nice cheap ink carts on eBay :-)

      I was in this exact situation last week, theres a thread about somewhere. I got no replies you unhelpful basts.

      I ended up getting another Epson too. I got the C86 PE from Comet.

        Did you do a forum search? Printer recommendations have come up before, use your noggin.

          I get recycled ink from Inkcycle, btw. On my Epson, I have to run it in high quality (so it's slow, just to warn you) to get a proper printout, but the amount of cash I save is phenomenal. I bought 6x black and 6x colour at one go, and it only cost ?39 for the 12

            Treble I used to do this but when i put in ink that wasnt Epson ink it would not display the Progress bar any more which showed how much ink was left. This was damn frustrating because id never know how much ink was left. I did a reinstall and bought the official inks and the ink monitor came back.

              No mate, never. What printer are you using? I'm asking you, but I can't remember what mine is
              I'll check when I get home. One thing: mine's USB. You using USB or parallel? Shouldn't make a difference, but you never know.

                It died a sorry death last week but it was an Epson C82 i think and it was a parallel one.

                My new one the C86 is coming today from Comet and its USB.

                  Barring any differences in suffix (think mine is 'SX'), that's the one I have. You shouldn't have any problems with recycled ink. From Inkcycle, the black is ?3.49 and the colour is ?4.49.

                  Like I say, run it in high quality every time apart from drafts, and you'll save a fortune.

                    mines C86 PE to be exact (photo edition) Iv had bad experiences with recycled ink ruining the printer but ill give it a shot because its cheap and im going to have to pay for it while at uni :P
