It was released last week here in australia... I'm playing it now. Bloody awesome racer, every other car racing game I play now seems to slow, even at the same mph. I bought SRS on the same day, and that game plays a lot like BO, with even a boost, and it feels extremely sluggish because I'm so used to the insane speed of BO3.
It should go without saying, but BO3 is definately a must own game.
However, if you have both an Xbox and a PS2 and you've got Xbox Live, get the Xbox version. The biggest reason is the custom soundtrack. The music is annoying, as it is in most racers, and I can't seem to find an option to shut off the music in the PS2 version. Xbox ver supports custom soundtrack, which probably also lets you disable the music.

The game is playable with players from around the world, though those with NTSC copies of the game won't be able to play against PAL users due to the speed and timing changes inherent in making a game for both standards.
From gamespot review
GameSpot is the world's largest source for PS4, Xbox One, PS3, Xbox 360, Wii U, PS Vita, Wii PC, 3DS, PSP, DS, video game news, reviews, previews, trailers, walkthroughs, and more.
I dunno if gamespot have forgot about the pal60hz options though.Last edited by jman; 08-09-2004, 15:57.

thank god for that!
although i doubt there would ever have been an issue whereby ntsc players couldn't play against pal60 players
hey here's a thought - if a game is uk, but i set my xbox to ntsc (using enigmah), will it then connect to us servers? if not that, then what if the xbox region was set to 1(usa) instead of 4(uk)?
i'm not sure if a us game will specifically look for us servers, or whether the us xbox live setup will do that itself. anyone know?
