PAL60 mode on Xbox and TV

how do I know if a tv in a shop will support this mode.

My current portable doesn't and I'm not allowed to move the xbox downstairs ot the main tv.

I need to buy a new portable but not sure what to look for

    Cheers

Ask to look at the User's Manual for the TV you're interested in. It'll tell you in there in the specs section

look on shops like empiredirect.co.uk,currys.co.uk etc. most small TV's that are made by a japanese company are.

But find one your interested in and post the make and model. And ill try and find out (other peeps may help aswell)

so if the tv says NTSC compatible playback I should be ok, or is that something different. All this to play Burnout 3 properly ...

NTSC 3.38 and Pal 60 are different things, ideally you want both.

I would be surprised if theres any bigish name TV's that dont have 60hz. I know some Beko, and Grundig's havnt supported 60hz in the past.

Can you demo it in-store? Might be a good idea.

The goodmans will work, just had a look on comets site - looks not bad although bit of a bend in the screen.

cheers, its either the goodmans or the proline which is a fiver cheaper for the exact same tv then.

the wife has been dispatched to check them out, bet she get the cheaper of the 2 but if it works I don't care
