    Some import gc game advice

Easy all, im' wondering about purchasing some jap gamecube titles but there are few reviews about them and i'm wondering if they are worth it and also if they are hard to understand if you know nothing of the jap language. So here we go Choro Q(AKA Road Trip: The Arcade Edition), Star Soldier and Muscle Champion(this is for my little bor and his friends it seems to be a nice little multiplayer title like kung foo chaos or monkeyball). Yeah so any advice about these games would be nice.

You don't need to look very far for a review of Star Soldier

The review pretty much sums up what I thought of it too. Worth a purchase IMO Language isn't a problem either.

Here's a thread about it from last year:

I used to own Muscle Champion. It was fun for a bit but ultimately too simplistic to be fun after a while. It's more like Mario Party in style, minus the boards. If you're after this button basher sort then either Mario Party or Segas Amazing Island are better.
Amazing Island also plays similar to Muscle Champion. It's a competition you enter, you score points based on events you pass, similar to Olympic Games. The twist in Amazing Island is that monsters take part in the events. You actually design the monsters too. You can use the predefined models and elaborate on them or create your own from scratch with a mario paint stylee graphics tool. You collect extra parts that you can add to the monster, stuff like claws, wings, etc.
Because of this RPG element I'd steer clear of the JPN version unless you speak the language. http://www.sega.com/games/game_temp....=amazingisland
When I sold my Muscle Champion I can remember getting a good price for it because it's relatively rare, you may struggle to get one.

cheers for that bowser guess i think i'll give muscle champion a miss then, and i'll look into amazing island now that choro q racer is pretty difficult to get much info on. plus i'd rather first hand experience on it.

Forgot to say, have you ever played Penny Racers on either N64, PS2 or GBA? http://www.play.com/play247.asp?sour...S2&title=96765 and http://shop.game.net/ViewProduct.aspx?cat=1&mid=316160 . They're the English name for Choro Q. I've never played the Cube version, but the old N64 and GBA versions were awful in all honesty. Very poor Mario Kart in little toy cars. The only plus point was they were like Lego where you can mix and match different parts to cars to make unique ones. The Cube one may be better but I'd recommend trying to find a cheap PS2 version 1st to gauge if you like it or not and ascertain if it's any good.

JPN Star Soldier is entirely in English and a top shooter if you don't mind the basic graphics.

PC Gengin is excellent as is Mr Driller. Other than that the other budget Hudson games and these games that I haven't played but apparently vary in quality:

                    Naruto (3D Fighter)
One Piece Treasure Battle (Powerstone like I think )
                    Auto Modelista (Racing)
                    Nintendo Puzzle Collection
Countless cute looking baseball games that look ace
                    Dragon Drive (Poor Panzer Dragoon)
