Panasonic Q help needed - sounds like a blown board. fixable?

hey everyone
ok, so a buddy of mine received his prized Panasonic Q a few days ago, and today has apparently blown the Q by using a PAL Dreamcast power plug on his Panny Q.

Unsurprisingly the Q apparently doesnt work anymore, and I offered to post a message on here in the hope I could get some advice for him.

So, do any of you modding kings know if its possible to replace a blown panasonic Q 'board', or simply fix the problem? If not, how much cash do you think he could get for selling the Q as faulty?

Thanks for any advice you can give. I'll be sure to pass it all onto my buddy tomorrow.

I did the same as you and i still haven't had it fixed yet. Ignore that other thread as i've been in touch with londonconsoles and they no longer fix Q's as they are an absolute Pig to fix as i believe it is built in layers and you need to get right to the bottom of the console, more time consuming than difficult from what i make out! I spoke to Ravengames who fix them but charge about ?80. Give them a ring and see what they say!

I'm just waiting for a bit of spare cash to get it done!!
