Just a word of warning, from what I've heard, if you use your Paypal account to receive money be aware that they can freeze your account for any reason at all and just disappear the funds you have stored. There are plenty of stories on the net about Paypal taking people's money and not giving it back, I think the EULA is full of all kinds of clauses that 'allow' this.

I hope on-one minds me asking a question - but I'm new to Paypal too. I'm mostly going to use it for US eBay. But, what I want to know is; say if you were going to make a payment in US dollars to a seller, does paypal after, charge you're credit/debit card in US dollars? (I heard credit/debit card companys charge fees for different currencies charged to debit/credit cards). - Or do they (paypal) convert the amount from (US dollars) into pounds and then charge you're card?.
Cheers.

Hope that makes sense
On another note, For UK based transactions I highly recommend Fastpay.com. It's run by Natwest and the charges are pretty much non-existent. It's just 20p to send funds to someone and is free to load and withdraw money. It supports both credit and debit cards.
