It doesn't like your browser settings if it says that about cookies, just try it later.

If your solo card has no start date leave the box blank - my cards don't have start dates and I use online payments all the time.

        If you're using IE:

tools > intenet options > privacy tab > advanced

        make sure cookies are enabled

Just a word of warning, from what I've heard, if you use your Paypal account to receive money be aware that they can freeze your account for any reason at all and just disappear the funds you have stored. There are plenty of stories on the net about Paypal taking people's money and not giving it back, I think the EULA is full of all kinds of clauses that 'allow' this.

If you're making a payment it just comes out of your account like any normal debit card transaction.

Just put in your card details, click on make a payment and follow the prompts!

Mate, there is a big number across the front of the card - you can't miss it.

                  I hope you're kidding!

I hope on-one minds me asking a question - but I'm new to Paypal too. I'm mostly going to use it for US eBay. But, what I want to know is; say if you were going to make a payment in US dollars to a seller, does paypal after, charge you're credit/debit card in US dollars? (I heard credit/debit card companys charge fees for different currencies charged to debit/credit cards). - Or do they (paypal) convert the amount from (US dollars) into pounds and then charge you're card?.

                      Cheers .

From what I gather, it's the same as using your CC in the US. So PayPal will charge you card the dollar rate and your card company will convert into sterling.

I would point out at this predictable point that I have used Paypal for over a year and never ever had a problem, either recieving, cashing in or spending money.

In fact Paypal now do the conversion themselves and charge your credit/debit card in pounds. Personally I've found this to be better because Paypal's exchange rate is more favourable than my credit card's rate. The difference is quite small but it still saves me a few quid. As a result, when purchasing items in USD I try to use Paypal as much as possible, as long as the vendor doesn't add their own Paypal surcharge.

                                Hope that makes sense

On another note, For UK based transactions I highly recommend Fastpay.com. It's run by Natwest and the charges are pretty much non-existent. It's just 20p to send funds to someone and is free to load and withdraw money. It supports both credit and debit cards.
