Xbit chip for Crystal Xbox

Morning,

I stupidly volenteered to chip a friend of a friends xbox without realising that the chip was an Xbit.

Does anyone have any experience of fitting this chip and what Xbox revision is the Crystal as I can't tell if it's 1.4 or 1.5.

I think all Crystals are 1.4, and if I remember correctly wasnt the 1.5 thing false? I'm pretty sure they debunked the idea of a 1.5 version.

Never installed an Xbit though, but surely it won't be much different, it'll be the same solder points won't it?

That's what i thought, unfortunately the instructions from DMS include diagrams for all version except for the 1.4, might try looking at another chip diagrams to have a check.

I'm almost 100% sure my crystal xbox had exactly the same points as all the other xboxes i've modded in the past. So just follow those points

Admittedly it wasnt an xbit chip but on inspection they seem to use the same points
