Modifying Gamecube RGB cable for SNES

I've forgotten how to do this, do I remove all 4 capacitors on the inside of the scart connector and re-solder the pins again, or can I just break them off?

I found the info myself by doing a better search on this forum and got a link to http://www.mmonkey.com which was just the job.

I now get a brilliant RGB image, but it's spoiled slightly by diagonal lines pictured below.

My scart cable has a resistor going across pins 17,18,and 20 - is that correct?

      17 - Composite Video ground
      18 - Blanking signal ground
      20 - Composite IN

8 and 16 are normally bridged to provide switching voltage, but I don't remember there needing to be a resistor where you mention. I can't check as such, as the lead I modded for this very purpose was for a mate, and he's away on holiday.

So you should have disconnected the caps and resoldered the connections, and bridged 8 & 16. I'd remove the resistor and see if this gets rid of the interference.
