            You pissed lad?

            1. Find out the company that makes the thing you want the driver update for.
            2. Go to their website and look for the driver update.
            3. If 2 didn't work, ring the company and ask.

Don't get drivers from windowsupdate, it tends to give you ass ones.

You only need to get drivers for your graphics card - leave the rest well alone if everything appears to be working well. Find out what that is, and come back and we'll tell you where to get the drivers from.

Hmm I dunno, I'd be inclined to update VIA/nforce board drivers, too.

If the lad doesn't know what drivers are in the first place, I'd be hesitant to get him to update his motherboard drivers...

Thats why I said to use Windows Update, the drivers offered there will all of been through MS certification, so theres little chance of installing a uncertified driver which may cause problems on his system. Personally though, I tend to download drivers from the manufactures site and get the most recent, and Im yet to have any issues.

If the lad doesn't know what drivers are in, needs or whatever, then I wouldn't bother updating them at all. If it ain't broke, don't try and update it
