***to panasonic Q owners - need a little help**

just bought a Q and i dont doubt the seller one bit but can you tell me if your Q's are quite noisy when the gamecube games are powering up

the dvd doesnt make a sound but for some reason its quite noisey powering up the gamecube games, more like a little shudder

    please help

The GameCube part of a Q has an additional fan on the side, and yes it can be quite noisy as it spins up.

It's pretty normal really. Clearing out some dust would help, but taking a Q apart probably wouldn't be much fun.

Yeah, mine used to be fairly quiet. Then a mate of mine, who also owns a Q, said his started 'sounding like a small aeroplane' when playing GC games.

What happened to mine the next time I started mine up? -_-

So, yeah, it's pretty normal. :/

Mine also sounds like a single engined plane (couldn't figure out whether biplane was spelt 'biplane' or 'bi-plane').

can anyone tell me why my q isn't playing my pal games???ft:

i'm using a free loader and all i'm getting is a blank screen..... sometimes i get the sound?

how can i sort this out? would an action replay be any better????

There are color problems running a ntsc Cube at 50Hz for pal games, but if you hold down B and switch to 60Hz you should be ok.

either that or get a modded rgb scart cable.

also, Freeloaders older than 1.06B (look at the center of the disk) tend to be a lot less compatible, it might just be that.

Also, PAL games played on NTSC systems via freeloader just simply dont work a lot of the time.
