Chipped xbox + XBMC. Help needed.

Have a bit of a problem, thought 1 of you guys could help.
I've just ftp'd XBMC to my chipped xbox. If I try to place it on the front menu with "APPS" "EMUS" etc it dosen't show up, it's fine if I place it in the "APPS" folder. Why is this?
Secondly, my old version of "XBMP" was on the front menu, having deleted it in favour of "XBMC" it's still on the front menu, highlighted in red and unselectable (obviously) - how do I get rid of the red text from the front menu?

    Cheers guys

ftp back into your xbox and find the evox.ini file, post it up and let me see it

Edit, I should have said, open it up then copy and paste the contents.

Actually what you would have been best doing was just deleted the contents of the XBMP folder and replaced them with the XBMC files.

        G-funk,
Cheers for the help, I was being too thick. Forgot about editing the ini file. Works fine now.
You could help me with another query though. When you chipped my box, it has to banks on it. One with Slayer auto 2.1, the other has a bios on it that dosen't work. If I was to install Slayer 2.6 on to it - would that work? Or should I leave alone?

        Cheers

Leave alone, coz you seem to be confused.

The chip has a switch for 2 512k banks, but the bios thats on it is 1mb so takes up both banks.

Slayer 2.1 is simply a disc you use to install evo-x etc, when you install the slayer disc everything goes onto your HD, it has nothing to do with the bios.

There is no need for having 2 bios really unless you want to mess about with debug stuff etc.

If you want to install slayers 2.6 then you can just install it over the old one, but it may delete stuff you already have on your HD.

            Bignige,
If you can I'd go for 2 different BIOSs if only for redundancy. I don't know what BIOS you have but most only use 256k. As you say you have 2 banks I assume you have a 2.x lite mod chip. I tend to set these up so that one bank boots Evox and the 2nd boots XBMC so the switch acts like a mode selecter.
This is just my preference tho'.

consider replacing your dashboard for Avalaunch as it is much better.
