NTL internet / television cable installation

Hi, I currently have BT Broadband and Sky Digital television, broadband runs through my phone line and Sky TV through the satelite dish. I am interested in getting NTL's service for television and broadband, am I right in guessing the two services run through the single cable that runs up to my house from the pavement outside? If so, how exactly do they get the cable to your house? Do they run it under your lawn, along your fence, under the drive??? I only ask because our house does not actually have a lawn, it is one big driveway, would they simply run the cable along the side of the fence and through a hole in the wall to our front room?

They won't dig up your garden, just take it along a fence. Anything more complicated and you'll get charged.

But be wary of NTL broadband, too many stories here and away about how crap it is.
