    Probably being extra paranoid, but to be *really* safe, I'd stay away from v9 and v10 consoles. The latest model is v11, get that instead. There is no advantage in getting a v10 over a v11 except that the Silver comes with 2 controllers instead of 1.

        Because those boards go hari-kiri after about a couple of weeks of being modded.

        There was a thread some time ago about this.

          wasnt that put down to bad modding which turned to scaremongering.

              I think I'd probably believe that more. It's 99% of the time down to the quality of the work performed that causes any problems. I think by v9/10 the intial teething problems are fairly under control, unless you got a rogue unit or something. Yeh.

                And does this mean that the new slim PS2 would be a v11+?

                Does anyone know of the modding capacity of one of these?
