Help! Fried PS2!

Ok, I sold my Jap PS2 to a friend at work, and he decided to take it round his mates for a bit of Winning Eleven action.

Needless to say, he didn't take the stepdown with him....

"Stepdown? Whats that then?"

240v into 110v doesnt seem to go, hence one knackered PS2.

Now, I know the general rule of thumb is to replace the power board, but.. it's an old model 1 jap machine, and i'm really struggling to find a replacement.

Can any of you peeps assist me please?

model 1's are SCPH1000x, I presume? apologies if I got that wrong, I have no firsthand knowledge of versions of PS2s and such.
