    VG+ can games

abit of a misleading title. anyway got a few games og vg+ and its a great service but what the f**k is that eng/french crap writing at the back.does anyone know where i can get us games at the price that vg do it for but without the french writing.just good ol' english

Canadian stuff is cheaper due to the exchange rate. Canadians speak French and English. If you don't want the French stuff, you will need to use a US site like www.tronixweb.com but you will pay more.

Not to mention that short of Tronix it's hard to find a US shop that will break certain customs laws... plus you may have Spanish in the manual for some US games :P

ncsx.com is probably the best US based import site I have used. However, their main focus is on japanese stuff (which you can probably get cheaper from play-asia) but they do sell USA games aswell but don?t have a massive selection.

LikSang and PlayAsia have started selling certain US games as well if you want to avoid the French writing (which I also dislike, meaning I can't get Nintendo or Capcom games through VG+).

What's everyone's problem with it? It's just a box. I'm not gonna pay more, and then a customs charge on top, to get rid of a bit of writing I probably won't notice anyway!

I got a french manual with sega marine fishing and it was from play-asia so you may not be able to avoid it(I also got the english one) but tbh i didn't really care

I got a tales of symphonia from vg+ that wasn't the canadian version, but I saw the canadian one in gamefocus

Interesting, whenever I got English only covers from VG+ I just assumed it was because there was no Quebec version.

Tronix are cheaper than VG+ (US$48 for a new title compared to US$54), but their postage is much dearer (US$10 as opposed to US$4). If your only buying one game it'll cost roughly the same from either retailer. Buy more than one game and Tronix is cheaper due to the fact that the postage cost is the same whether your buying 1, 2, 3 or 4 games.

As for Play-Asia I've only once bought an American game from them and that was the Canadian version. Mind you that was some time ago and things might have changed since then.

Nintendo and Capcom definitely do Canadian versions; every game by them I've had from DVDBO and VG+ has been dual language. Not spotted a pattern from any other company just yet.

I'm not sure if all of Squaresofts games have French text but the Final Fantasies definitely do.

These games should have a double sided sleeve so we importers can enjoy American english instead of **** french language.

A little OT but does anyone knoe how VG+ ship there items? Do they ship the pre order as the items come in or wait for the whole lot to come in before shipping? As i ordered a DS ages back with 4 games but it looks like 3 of them aren`t out till next year now. So i don`t want the other items holding up my DS being shipped.
