Is a 30m Xbox link cable feasible?

Just wanted some advice as to whether using a 30m link cable (UTP Cat 5e) for Xbox gaming (Not Live) was feasible, would there be significant signal deterioration? Would i need a repeater/booster, (15m->booster->15m cable?)

Any advice would be appreciated. Ta!

30m would be fine I reckon. Ethernet loses signal over 100m, so you're cool with that.

      I use 25m and it's fine I don't think an extra 5m would cause a problem

I think 100mb LAN has quite a large maximum length before it starts to get flakey. Around 300 metres but i could be wrong. I'd have to check through uni notes and i cant be bothered

edit : Although i do know its well above 30 metres so you'll be fine

Don't buy ethernet cabling for more than nothing!!!

Talk to huxley or me, I've got about 80m of a 100m roll sitting around at home!

                    Off topic:

It's 100 meters... the faster the connection the shorter the range.

This can be increased with routers and such though.
