    Patched WE8 goodness

Now that I'm getting a modded PS2, the seller has a copy of WE8 patched I will get with it. Except it's not quite 100%. A few bits are untranslated and all the players names were still in Japanese (though I guess that's a memory card thing instead).

    So the questions are:

    1) Is there a 100% fully translated in English patched WE8 out there for me to download and burn?

    2) Any special settings (single session, CDRs only etc) I should take into consideration?

    3) Assuming that the player names are only in English via the memory card save, is there somewhere I can get this done, either via downloading and running, or someone copying a save file?

    Cheers

Look forward to proper WE8 English goodness... off a hard drive

    Hi Mayhem,

I'm no expert, but I've managed to get some WE7I patches working and all the info I needed was on evo-web.co.uk.

I think there are some 100% patches on there (there are loads of different patches), and they will include the correct player names, so no need to worry about an option file on your memory card.

Do I need to be a member there to see the posts or downloads. Doesn't appear to be much at all for WE8 there from what I could see.

Yeah you have to register, otherwise it just seems like there are no posts in the entire forum.

I can't find any instructions at hand at the moment, but if I remember correctly the general process is:

          1. Copy game onto HD and make an ISO.
          2. Download patch (you will probably need to combine the files with WinRar)
          3. Apply to the ISO with PPF-o-matic
          4. Burn CD

Slight problem. No original copy of WE8! He only has the final (step 4) himself I believe (I can check to see if he has an original WE8) and it isn't 100% English like I said.

So if anyone can provide just the ISO fully done already for me to just do step 4, then that's what I really want

I suppose it's just the hassle.. and I have little time as it is to go trawling everywhere for everything I want to include

Maybe I'll just stick to PES4 instead

Still I can but maybe place something in the wanted forum here...

Mayhem - from all accounts - the ps2 version of pes4 is very close to we8, more so this edition than any previous edition ... plus it has no slowdown (maybe the odd touch but nothing as bad as the japanese version)

My brother has pre-ordered PES4... so we can have a good compare when it arrives against what I've played of WE8 so far, and his impressions once I go pickup the modded PS2. Cheers for the info John
