i managed to get my pc to surf the net wireless, but i'm having trouble trying to set a wireless network with my sisters pc so we can surf the net the same time. What am i doing wrong?

It'd be a good idea to tell us in as much detail what you have done so that we can tell you what you're doing wrong.

There are too many things that can foul up for us to just say

    "Do the following... "

Having said that because you say you're having trouble getting them to work at the same time I'm guessing you haven't got a router. Get one.

Like Valken says, its a bag of weasels without more info. But if you don't have a router then you'll have to setup Internet Connection Sharing.

Start with the basics - do both machines have IP addresses on the same subnet? If so, make sure they can ping each other successfully before you go any further.

Make sure you installed the drivers before putting in the wireless network card into the PC's. Windows auto-installs drivers when it detects the hardware and this can mean the card won't pick up the signal from the router.

I had a similar setup as you from the sounds of it (except I have an Xbox too, just to make things even more fun).
