    GBA modding

Under the influence of csuzw, who I blame for all my excessive console purchases, I recently acquired a second hand GBA. Annoyingly, it works perfectly well and exactly as intended by nintendo...the only solution, of course, is to mod it.
Does anyone know of any good sites with information about the insides of a GBA, or anything to do with modding at all? I don't want to get carried away with my soldering iron until I know a bit more about how it works and what is possible to do to it without turning it into a Paperweight Advance (tm).

    How would you mod it?

Apart from an Afterburner screen, there's sweet FA to do with a GBA :\

have a few accessories (AV in) etc but no mods, how's the TV out done ? take it it's not a cartridge, it involves some soldering etc, I've seen someone wire up a SNES pad to a GBA also

Lighting the screen has to be the first thing to do, but I'm planning to add a control stick and respray the case as well. Other possibilities are adding a fan (to cool me, not the gameboy) a battery charge meter (if its even possible) and building in a digital clock.
Its for fun, I'm not aiming for sensible here....
