    Samsung SpinPoint P80 120GB UDMA133 from Dabs.com

I've also got a 120GB (Maxtor i think) in my Xbox and the Samsung is whisper quiet compared to that one.

Pretty much Maxtor or Samsung recommended here for HDLoader (got a 40GB Maxtor currently, upgrading to 120GB shortly).

You can copy your originals onto it as well you know (the HDLoader software is fully usable without a modded PS2 now)... saves on laser wear, decreases loading times and prevents some of random access problems you can get (I'm looking at you, GTA, here!). Hence I'm running my ORIGINAL copy of PES4 from there at the moment

I bought my Maxtor 120 gigster from ebuyer for just over 50 quid - that works nicely with the HDLoader

By the way - another use for HDLoader is to play imports without chipping your PS2 !!

Go for Samsung, it's makes much less noise then the Maxtor (I have the Maxtor in my Xbox and a Spinpoint in my PC).

Erm, no it isn't to my knowledge. HDLoader can copy discs to the HD without a need for a chip, but it doesn't bypass the security checking procedures. You still need a modded system if you wish to play imports.
