    Jpn PS2 games.

After having a PAL PS2 for a couple of years and pretty much ignoring it i have got myself a Jpn one. Im totally ignorant in the PS world so what hot titles should i be getting (japanese). Am i right in thinking a lot of the Saturn shooters got PS 2 updates? Ive heard, i think, that Japanese Devil May Cry is the one to get aswell,so a few recommendations would be appreciated.
    Thanks
    Nick

Not really a lot of Saturn shmups got a facelift. If at all.
Only one i can think of that resembles a Saturn game (in name sake at least) is Soukyu-Gurentai. I thinks.

No real gamebreaking differences to the versions of DMC either. Just JPN has less gash artwork than the USA one.

As for recommendations... i've no idea. What games you like?

I got one initially for DoDonPachi: DOJ. Then got Macross: SDF, Katamari Damacy, Espgaluda, GT4 Proloque and Shikigami No Shiro with it. It's only the last one I've been somewhat disappointed with. Should be getting Kaido Battle this week too.

If you like 2d vert. shooters you MUST pick up Espgaluda though. My game of the year so far.

Don't bother with Shikigami 1, get the sequel.

Get R-type Final & Gradius V - and since you'll be able to play Ps1-games with your Ps2-system I can recommend Einh?nder, Dodonpachi, Donpachi, R-type Delta to name the best...

Also there is a Gunbird 1+2 pack for the Ps2, a Strikers1945 I+II-pack (that's kinda bad) - and later this year Psykio Shooting Collection 2(Sengoku Ace and Sengoku Blade) and 3(Sol Divide & Dragon Blaze) is coming out.

Also Psyvariar2 is coming for the Ps2 later this year.

Last, go for Shikigami No Shiro 2, it's the same as the first game - except better.
