Viglen moniter going for cheap, worth buying to run games on?

My Uni is selling this tomorow:

"2 Viglen VGA Monitors, ?10 each. "

How easy would it be to buy one, and set it up to run consoles on, seeing as I have never used a moniter or VGA box before.

just buy a vga box for it and plug it all in, really

some vga boxes have console connectors (eg. ps, dc, xbox, etc), others are just general - you just plug your yellow (or s-video), white and red cables into it and that's it (mine is like this).

it's really easy to setup. getting the right vga box is a bit trickier!

they vary in price too, so shop around. then there are the
