    Tronix & Fedex?

Anyone use Fedex delivery from games from Tronix? Do they mark down or is their a customs spanking waiting to be had?

I wouldn't bother tbh. The standard Global Delivery is fast, reliable, cheap, and doesn't get opened by the tax gits. But yes, Tronix do mark down games.

I've used FedEx quite a lot recently from a while back. I think, around the time when Full Spectrum warrior was released, so it must've been some time in July. Subsequently, i've ordered about 5 or 6 more games since then and haven't been stung for a bill for all of them as of yet.

I know i've used them way back before (more or less when the NGC got released in the States for a couple of games) and have been invoiced about a 3 weeks/ a month after the package has been delivered.
I've received a bill from TNT a couple or so weeks after i rececived Gradius V LE pack.

They mark it as (for me at least) an 'application' or 'manual' with the value of $0.00

But so far this time round, not a sausage from the FedEx bill boys.

[Now i've gone and put the kiss of death on myself...]

            :/

I've used Fedex with Tronix a number of times.

Generally speaking I don't have to pay any duty - however I noticed that when I ordered 2 games the marked value was higher and I got taxed - not always though.

I even went so far to get my US PS2 HDD from Tronix. It was marked down, stating it was an 'Evaluation Unit' Even had a reciept stating that with a date I had to return it by

I did get taxed but even so still ended up paying about ?90 all in if memort serves!

It doesn't arrive any quicker than the standard post, in fact it was a few days later when I used it. Not worth the extra cost and risk of getting tax0red.

Have any more people used Fedex from Tronix? If your only buying the one game it's only $3 more than standard postage and hence provided your definitely not taxed I'd use it. So has anyone been taxed when only buying the one game?

How quick is it likely to be though? I usually receive items from Tronix using standard delivery within 4 working days (Ship Tuesday, arrive Saturday)... FedEx is going to struggle to be any quicker and there's always a risk, however small, of being pwned by the tax gimps.

Interestingly enough i've had a bill, for the sum of around ?12.76p for a parcel containing Metal Gear Solid 3 and Metroid Prime 2. I had an inkling that it might not get through unscathed.

However, all previous orders i've had were always for 1 game (and i've ordered quite an amount since July) have not been billed.

3 days seems to be the max i've ever waited for Fedex to deliver.

I've always use Fed-ex from Tronix and have only had to pay import duty once (due to me forgetting to request the marking down of the package). It's fast and reliable from my experience with packages usually taking 2 days to arrive.

I just don't see why I should bother with the standard delivery as it's not that much cheaper (5 dollars max if your ordering a couple of games) and Fed-ex get you your package faster.

Funnily enough the only package I got billed for also contained MGS 3, much like your situation geektanic, probably just cause it's christmas though...

Yeah Fed Ex from Tronix is great, always comes in 2 working days, and you get a tracking code.

Never been stung for a bill as yet
