Does sports games include crazy off road racing type games - if not then Insane is what you're looking for. Still one of my favourite PC games ever just for the sheer fun of multiplayer.

Even if racing on a course counts as 'sport', playing capture the flag in cars almost certainly doesn't.

As a sidenote, I can't think of many console games that fit these criteria, either (other than MM3's silly modes).
