    Torrents with an R

    Hi,

Is there anyone that uses bit torrent out there?

    If so....

On some sites how do you download torrents with the R picture next to them?

    Thanks

do you mean the R symbol before the torrent name ? if so that is just a description of the torrent (hover over it) if not PM me and tell me how to find one (couldn't see one on todays new releases)

I believe they're torrents hosted on other sites, which either require you to register before the tracker will let you start downloading them, or require you to register in order to get a password needed to extract whatever you might be snagging.

Edit - if it is one that requires registration before the tracker will let you snag anything, a decent BT client (like Azureus) will usually give you an error message containing information about where to go to register, if it's not obvious from the torrent file itself.... something like "Error - Invalid Passkey - Please go to www.sometorrentsite.com to register"

You then register at whatever site it is and the torrent should magically work.

Looking at all the other suggestions on here I could be way off the mark though

I've not snagged any torrents from that place for a while so....

I think it means re-release. Could be wrong though. And this was in the wrong forum.

What FreQstyle said. "R" usually means that you need to be registered, and a decent client will tell you what the problem is if it can't connect to the tracker like "invalid passkey" or "port has been banned".

If you want pm me the link to the torrent file and I'll have a look.

It means registered/sponsoring users only. ie need a password or a login on some forum.
