I have a progressive scan TV, so...

which of my consoles will make use of it, and how do I activate it:

    US Gamecube.
    Chipped PAL PS2.
    Chipped PAL Xbox.

Am I right in thinking its only the US cube that can take advantage of progressive scan?

    Thanks in advance.

US Cube will, just hold down B when you boot the game up and it should remember it. You'll need a component cable too for that.

Chipped Xbox will play pretty much every game at 480p. You'll just need a high def pack, but you've got one haven't you?

You need this for your Gamecube, Official Nintendo Component cable:
Online shopping for Import Video Games, Digital Codes, iTunes Cards, Mobage & PSN Cards, Movies, Music, Electronics, Computers, Software, Books, Apparel, Personal Care, Toys & more.

I couldn't find the official component cable for the PS2 - literally, anywhere - so opted for one from here (not overly impressed with it though; but cheap):

And for Xbox, I went for these which word on this forum has it is better than the official Microsoft offering. It arrives tomorrow, so no impressions yet :

      Cheers

I had a while with a GC and progressive scan - soooooooooo gorgeous. First game you play make sure it's Metriod Prime. Stunning is one way to describe it

No Optical cable on that ? Shame as it look lovely. Is there one with optical cable. Also is there a similar version for gamecube.

The only Xbox component pack I've had any joy with (that also has an optical out) is the official MS one.

I tried a couple of 3rd party Gamester High-def packs, and whilst regular component output was fine, progressive scan was screwed for some reason... VERY nasty ghosting everywhere. I've seen reports on other forums that all the xbox Gamester High-def packs do this so be careful.

You'll have to make sure that your chipped Xbox is in NTSC video mode before you can take advantage of the prog scan there.
