Do I have to pay this custom charge?

Quite recently (21st Oct to be exact) I had these items shipped from Play Asia...

Capcom Arcade Chronicle DVD
Famicom Music DVD - Namcot
Mawaru Made in Wario

Today I just got these items.

I was wondering why these items got to me so late - I was horrified that this parcel got stopped by customs!

There's a clear ?9.69 charge on the parcel, yet I didn't pay for this when it arrived this morning.

Do I need to pay for this custom charge at all?

I'm sure I've had stuff, like what's happened here to me here in the past and I've not paid anything.

How was it delivered? If the postie handed it to you without collecting money, you're in the clear.

EDIT - just out of interest, why were you horrified? All that stuff is well over the cutoms limit

Usually all my parcels from Play Asia are too big for the letter box and I usually have to pick it up at the depot which is very strange for once as it didn't happen today!

Well by law you have to actually pay it. They could send you a court summons or some type of debt collection if you dont pay it.

I'd say just pay it and be done with it. Tis only ?10

Adrock, do you realise how much I spend on games!
OK, yeah it might seem stupid to not expect to be stung by customs with the amount of stuff that I buy but being stung still kinda hurts!

I ain't made of money ya know!

I'm bracing myself for the next shipment from Play Asia...

If your buying so much stuff why don't you send everything seperately?

Usually it all adds up in postage but I suppose I could get my new games from lik sang but you cant track orders if you take up their free postage option.

I'd wait for a demand, myself: the postie isn't supposed to even deliver it if it's got a custom levy on it. You have to go down the PO and pay the duty.

If it's been couriered, then they'll deliver it and send you a bill later... (like a month later).
