playing a DS in the UK

hello, can anyone please advise me on the DS powerpacks,


i am going to import a DS from the USA
(import madness possibly)

but i was wondering where i will be able to get a power pack from? that will work with the plug etc in this country,

and how much will they be please?

I was thinking that too, surely the power from the UK GBA chargers will be 220V as opposed to the US output? I don't know a great deal about this however.

Do Uk SP chargers work with USA SPs?

I was thinking about buying a stepdown but I can't see how it would plug into the DS from the photos at Play Asia, I'm probably missing something though.

All regions have the same power input into the gba/ds. The voltage conversion is done via the plug so a uk plug will let in the exact same voltage as a US plug into the DS (5.2V for the SP i think).

Your right, Importmadness were ok untill I needed some customer support which from the fact that they never even bothered to reply to me suggests they dont have any.

What he said. You only get issues with import consoles when the power adaptor is internal (PS2 old,dreamcast,staurn). If the power convertor is external (GBA SP,MD) you can use a uK one on a US machine no problems.
