How does GAME's trade in work?

Sods law I guess, I haven't touched my PS2 in months and then as soon as the one game I want to play (GTA:SA) comes along the bloody thing won't work.

It has done me proud though and lasted nearly 5yrs.

As luck would have it this is the perfect opportunity to get a diddy little new slimline PS2. However I don't really want to chuck away ?100. I know a lot of people who frequent this forum work in GAME so could some kind person explain their trade in deals. I have a number of old PAL Ps2 games going back as far as WRC1 & Burnout 1.

Can I still trade these games in and If so how many do I need to get a good deal.

Do they do the same thing for Xbox's? I have even more old Xbox games and an xbox would make a great christmas present for my brother in law.

Thanks for any help or advice

GAME will take any good condition PAL PS2/Xbox/GC games but you won't get much for the older ones (might be better selling 'em here or Gamestation if you have on near you)

Saw advert in store other day, about trade in your old PS2 and get a new one for ?50 (or similar)

Phone up your local store and they should tell you about the current "offers"

Game check the consoles that you trade in though, so unless it boots up they won't take it.

Thanks for the heads up. Can't trade old PS2 as it's Jap 1.1 model. I thought I read somewhere about trading a certain number of games then paying say ?20 for a new PS2.

Do gamestation do better offfers? I have one of them here aswell. I'm off into town at lunch anyway so I'll check them out.

        Cheers

Think it's: Old PS2, 2 games and ?50 for a shiny new one.
