slide card with slim line ps2

hi all , as some of you may know there is a slide card available and when combined with swap magic you can play your backup games without a solder chip. however i was just wondering if the slide card works with the new slim line ps2, cus i know it would work for v9-10 of ps2.

no cause the new slim ps2 has a flip lid and no drive tray

ah i see, okay thanks also just wondering generally does the slide card in any way damage or affect the tray mechanism of the ps2 after long periods of use? and would you recommend a flip top instead or visa versa

It will knacker the drive eventually through wear and tear, all the more so if you harbour the delicacy of a weightlifting baboon.

I've got one and I rarely use it, tbh: it's too much bother...

I've read mixed results with this one, such as not all games working and also not even original PAL titles running after the mod.

Anyone else done it and how is it going?

Dazzla, have you had any probs at all mate?

All my original Pal titles have worked like normal, the only games I've tried with Swap Magic are WRC4, GT4 Prologue and SF3 and they worked fine.
