With all this Halo 2 talk, I got to wondering if there is any decent FPS games on the GC. I'm not including Metroid as I have already played that. Are there any others worthy of attention?

Metroid Prime 2 is out in the US on Monday... other than that I don't there really are that many FPS for the cube. I'm sure a Medal of Honor game was released for it... -

moh: frontline
but apart from metroid and maybe timesplitters, none of them as half as good as Halo 2
IMO (EEK awaits the backlash) Metroid is still better than Halo 2
i know i know its not a true FPS but it still plays like a FPSComment

timesplitters 2 is easily the best non-metroid prime first person game on the GC...
..I may get laughed out of the thread for suggesting this but the GC version of Dredd Vs Death is pretty decent bog standard FPS affair and quite cheap if you can find it.. If you are a fan of or half remember the comics (like me) you'll get a kick out of it. Theres a nice single player adventure, a fair bit of multiplayer stuff and all the game modes and options you would expect in an FPS.. Graphics are better than I expected and it playes really well too..
Its got tons of bugs and glitches, none are really game threatening most are just funny, the rest expected of a britsoft game created on a shoestring over a number of years and flung out with no promotion by the remains of a half dead, half french, american publisher (sierra).Comment

At least they could have dubbed it so John Mclaine shouted "Yippy Kai-Yay Kimosabi" like he used to on ITV.

Time Splitters 2 ! It is basically Goldeneye! ^_^
Controls are better
GFX of course
Custom map designer (found it a bit limiting but anyway)
Split screen coop
Hard as nails (in a good way)
The first level at the dam just harks back to the first level of goldneye. The music sounds erily like it, and the game feels as good as you remember goldenye being.
Also, it has these ace mini games which wasted away many a evening 2 years ago at uni.

Don't touch Rising Sun. It molests dead dogs in the height of summer.
Similarly Die Hard. UBELIEVABLY bad.

Yeah got to second that MoH - Rising Son is easily the worst game in my collection. Don't touch it with a bargepoll, I picked it up dead cheap, avout a tenner, and I still felt cheated.Comment
