Had the installer sitting on my HD for a few days.
If I install it will I lose my bookmarks(tons of porn) and saved passwords?

no, mine have survived through a couple of installs but my live bookmarks don't refresh properly anymore and the same bugs that niggle me now are still present in this release. i've lived with 'em for a while, i can probably live with them a bit longer...

Thanks for the news, I've just updated.

If I encounter any issues, I'll be sure to mention it

Your bookmarks are stored in your profile, not in the application folder, so they should survive a whole ton of upgrades.

I love Firefox. Did anyone else here donate to the advert spread in the New York Times? I did, seeing as I'd definitely buy Firefox if it wasn't free. And it is, so I had the money to spare.

At last I can arrange my favourites folders alphabetically, used to irritate me in previous builds when I couldnt.

Mmmm... I'm getting intermittent exceptions with this new 1.0 release (not doing anything special at all).

Bugger, I deleted the 0.9 installer ages ago too...

I thought I'd been using v1.0 for ages. Must have been a beta or something. What's changed in the meantime?

I've still got this on my HDD. Let me know if you want a copy.

I've noticed a difference with v1.0 whereby if you click a link from an external program (MSN Messenger or an Outlook email message for example) the link will open in an existing browser window instead of opening a new one. It always used to open a new window.

This can be quite annoying, does anyone know how to stop this?

Sure you don't have any extensions that manage that kind of thing installed?

Yeah, it's in the options menu, under Tools/Options/Advanced/Tabbed Browsing
You can also enable a couple of extra options in there by typing about:config into the address bar and turning browser.tabs.showSingleWindowModePrefs to true.

I have just installed it, seems a bit faster and more stable.

It plays much nicer with the office firewall than 0.8 did, which is nice. I miss Find On This Page being up with the google toolbar at the top, but thats my only complaint with the new version.
