Buying an XBOX today..

I currently have a PS2 but Ive been considering getting an XBOX for a while so today I am going to buy myself one, my decision has been swayed with the release of Halo 2, but I dont want to buy an XBOX just for this...so, what are the other best games to buy? How long does it take to get online and how much does it cost?

RSC2 is great, probably my favourite and most played Live game.

good on ya mate. i did the same thing (had a ps2 then got an xbox) and i couldn't ever give up my xbox (even if xbox 2 comes out). mind you, i have to admit that if it wasn't chipped then i may not be as hot for it as i am.

but the games everyone has mentioned are amazing online, and xbox live is structurally sound compared to ps2's online (but ps2 online is mostly free, so you're paying for the priviledge), a point proven by the crapness of burnout 3 on live (which uses ea's own servers, not live's)

btw if you buy halo 2 or outrun 2 (sf anniversary doesn't have one, well mine doesnt anyway) you get a 2 month free xbox live trial code that you can use to see if you like live. if you don't, just cancel it while on your xbox (you used to have to call them up to cancel)

Ok guys, from what you have said, you have confirmed that getting an XBOX is the thing to do....

Now, to get my XBOX online, It will involve me using a PC as a link from the BB line to my XBOX, will this be a problem? so basically...
Broadband > PC > XBOX

I am with Wanadoo Broadband, and is there a seperate charge for using XBOX live or is it included in my BB subscription?

If you've got a router it's even easier.
Just plug it in and use the Automatic detection option.

Top spin tennis is a great single player,its like a slightly more realistic version of virtua tennis but its still fun to play and a ton better than the sham that was virtua tennis 2 and it can be played on live and you get a 2 month trial
