    King of Fighters 00/01

Out in the UK this Friday and sensibly priced, BUT:
Can anyone tell me if either or both PS2 and Xbox versions have 60Hz options?

    Cheers,

    Ratso

I would presume that the X-Box version would have a 60Hz option, but that is on the basis that Ignition's previous conversion release Metal Slug 3 features a 60Hz option. I recall reading about the PS2 version of MS3 having a 60Hz option as well in a thread on these forums as well, so that's a possibilty as well.

In the end, though, you'll have to wait until people get their copies in on the thursday or friday. I would tell you then, but I'm resisting the temptation to grab it due to dwindling funds :'(

sure is sensibly priced (14.99 from simplygames - anyone seen it cheaper?) but is it on xbox live? simplygames says TBC...

and by live i mean playable, not metal slug-style scores (although you don't play kof for scores obviously, whereas you do for metal slug so it made sense in that respect)

I don't think it will have live code, personally. It might be present for future compilation titles though, as I recall that SVC Chaos has netcode to play online, and Gamestop.com has a cover of KoF02/03 with a Live banner. It's probably because the conversions of KoF00/01 was brought out ages ago on the PS2, and it might just be a straight port of that.

Just to let you all know as well, it's been delayed to November 26th. I would say that it's a pity that it's out on the 26th, but then I need time to gather up some funds anyway!

Is this the Pal version of the game then or do you have to have a chipped PS2 to play it?
Sorry if that was a ridiculous question, gotta ask to find out....

thats the x-box version, (phew thought it was the PS2 version for a second there)
pre-ordered mine, never thought I would see a Pal release of KoF though, I am glad they have done.

The PS2 does have 60Hz support, in case anyone is interested.

Also, this isn't the first KoF to come out in PAL-land - KoF '95 was released on the Saturn with a ROM cartridge bundled in (no 60Hz though and nor was it optimised either).
