I'll second that to be honest. Thats the best route and get a stepdown for a tenner out of maplins for your voltage.
ON the chipping note: there is shops in glasgow that are still chipping consoles no problem. I also agree that we should be able to do what we want with our purchases as disco tom says. Why the hell should they tell us what to do with out property.
