Any news on release date? According to Amazon it's out tomorrow (19th), but to Game, it's still the 26th. Any insider information anyone?

PES4 is the closest you'll get, and there's very little difference.

I'll have to disagree with you there. Pro Evo series is very different to WE.

If i can i will always take WE before PE everytime........

Heh you're talking to someone who *knows* his WE/PES . WE5 and PES were very close, PES2 was a travesty compared to WE6 (WE6JL was good, WE6:FE wasn't so good), PES3 did a pretty good job against WE7 but the shooting was dumbed down a bit. PES4 and WE8 are almost identical, but by all accounts WE8JL:AC is the best of the lot so far, slower play and tighter control.

Either way, the chances of getting an xbox release of it or any other WE8 game is remote due to the poor sales of xbox in the East. The only chance you might get of a WE title is WE8I, but that would be pointless as it's essentially PES4.

When do you guys think the PS2 version will go online, WE9 or WE8:fe/international if there is one?

As people already have the game has there been any opinions given on the online aspect of the xbox version?

They've already said it's in thier plans to take the ps2 version online, but not we8. WE8 J-League: Asia Championship (out already) and the K-League version (due 24th) are the last (afaik) versions for we8.

As long there is Winning Eleven 8 International or Winning Eleven 9 come out in Spring with Online gaming for PS2 I will be happy, I have sold WE8 today and hopefully PES 4 will be the same game with correct language and bit more up to date with online gaming.
