Baten Kaitos US on PAL GC?

Not sure where to put this, feel free to move if it's in the wrong place.

Has anyone tried Baten Kaitos US on a PAL cube with the freeloader yet? I'm a bit worried about the compatibilty since this site reports problems with the japanese version. I'd hate to order it and be presented with a black screen .

Some people on gamefaqs just confirmed it works after some initial problems. It seems it will work fine as long as the GC is set to english language, if not you get messed up text. Guess it's time to order then .
