...is it worth it? I'm thinking of getting mine the X-Ecuter 2 Lite with Disable Switch from premodded.co.uk. What I want to know is about the Snes emulators. Will every single Snes game ever be on there or just a select few? There are some games I really want on there; Final Fight; Parodious (sp?); U.N Squadron; NBA Jam; Zelda; Link To The Past; the first Final Fantasies etc. Also has anyone's X-Box stopped working as a result of having it chipped?

I've got mine chip as soo as the 1st mods chip where out so im xbox is current;y banned form Livebut at least i can play
*full speed SNES games, as many as u can fit on a cd or ur hdd. The best thing is it supports 4 players so bomberman5 rocks as does all the other 4 player games. StarFox and Mario Kart and other DSP1 and SFX games work 2.
*mame, mostly full speed, you only really notice onthe 2d shooters that have tons and tons of enemies and more advanced 2d scrolling beatumups. Doesn't load big roms yet though due to memory size problem (i.e. roms that unzip weigh in at over 48mbs like koF games and SFA3, but Metal Slug 1 works), im sure in the future they will be running full speed and load the bigger roms.
*Final burn - runs all the CPS1 games (3 player AvP runs) and CP2 as well as long a su get the right rom sets, has a major problem with xbox d-pad diagnals making special move sin Street fighter game impossible, fixed by uses the arcade sticks.
Haven't tried these yet, full speed GBA emu, Neo pocket, Megadrive and on its way N64 (due to a competition with prize money), also a working ports of Quake 2, DooM and currently Duke3d, and a playstation emu is working on the xbox but it doing 1-2fps and needs to use the hdd to run the games off (so EvoX is needed)
My advice buy 2 xboxs, one for modded with EvoX on it, and one for xbox live if you intend to use it.

I was looking into the same thing! Does the X-Ecuter 2 Pro Modified XBOX It says that it comes with the Emus in it, but nothing about the ROMS...
So, I assume that you have to download the Roms from the net and stick them on the HDD... Ok... Not knowing any good places I'd appreciate if someone could PM me with sites that offer ROMs (DON'T use this thread as it is off topic and the mods may get a little nervous!)
We also mount the printer port Flasher for the X2 Pro outside of the box so that you can flash the modchip BIOS from your PC easily.
What is the method of transfering info from the HDD on your PC to your X-Box? What leads etc do you need?
boXplorer for browsing XBOX hard drive, copy/move files or delete unwanted games
Ozzimay Suggested XBox-Scene.com as a good place to get info... maybe you could get some good advice from there Paul...
He also said:
To transfer **** over to your harddisk once you have it set up, you will need a cross over cable between your pc and xbox set up over a network. You will then have to ftp your stuff over (use flashfxp preferrably) and that's about it.
I kinda need help... I want to get and X-Box and MAME and emus and stuff... But I'm worried I'm gonna f00k it all up and break everything and argh...
(Oh and I don't have BroadBand, so I can't use XBLive!)

If you have to ask what the Pro does then it isnt the chip for you.
The Lite is good enough for 97% of people
If you want to put a big HD in use the slayers installer disc (don't ask look on newsgroups, if you don't know what they are then its all going to be vertically uphill from here).
To still use live after these mods you need to fit a on/off switch to the chip. This is a lot easier than it sounds as there is an on/off jumper on the X2 lite that you just connect two wires to.
Also the drive will need to be locked to use live (config magic final) personally i bought a 2nd machine for live as if you forget to just once thats it, welcome to banville.
Oh and you cant use "back-ups" on live for the dummies who may read and will inevitably ask.
If you intend on playing steel battalion/tekki on the chipped Xbox you will need to get the latest Bios and flash the chip 4976.02 +IGR disable.
Anything else apart from where to find software or games will be ignored.
think thats everything

Plus the bios switching is different, look on the xecuter forums to find out which you think is for you. Moan about there being an ugly pcb on the outside of you xbox and you had better get that flame proof suit on.
