prog scan in SC2 PS2

Ok, borrowed a mates soul calibur 2 Jap for the PS2. Now I was under the impression that this game supports prog scan as does the Xbox and GC versions plus the fact that Namcos other Ps2 fighter Tekken 4 also did.

However I cant seem to find the options to use this facility (if, indeed it exists) It doesnt seem to selected the same way T4 does.

If anyone knows how to do it, please let me know

Try this:

PS2 supports 525 progressive scan mode
hold X+Triangle while the Playstation 2 logo appears upon bootup
to access the Progressive Menu.
