Not exactly true, Virgin are expecting some in December. I think maybe Sony is holding them back? They seem to do this every Christmas.

Could be true, I do know Virgin have posters up in their stores saying although they've ran out of stock, they'll have them back in Dec. Could be dog****, They may be doing an "lxdirect.com". ie every time I phone & ask the where abouts of my copy of Halo2, I get "It'll be with you in 2 days" - still waiting....

I hunted high and low, and ended up having to import one. No real disadvantage to doing so, so it might be your best (and only) option.

Is there something weird going on with console manufacturing at the moment? No PS2s anywhere in the UK, and DS and PSP orders having to be stopped due to insufficient stock allocations.

Still, I'd be smiling if I were Microsoft right now.

Seeing as a bundle with console is going for about ?240 on ebay, should i stick mine up, and then repurchase one at a later date? It's not like im going to be playing on it for a few month anyway......

Game are getting them 1st week of december, but only for those who've put down a ?10/?50 preorder (most likely anyway)

We've been told that there is a manufacturing issue in China. Dixons have apparently secured stock for the end of next week. MCV kicked off the front page this week with the shortages. The only consoles which are not affected are apparently the GBA and GC. XB, PStwo and the new handhelds seem to be hit hard.

I get asked about 5 times a day when we'll be getting more PStwo... you'd better get in there quick if you see one. Dixons are pushed to take loads of pre-orders to get rid of them as soon as they come in.

Well specifically we were told it was something to do with the production of the laser units inside of them, but i suppose some sort of problem in China would be most credible
