the christmas battle: psp vs. ds questions

    well first question first:
am i likley to be able to get one of either to my doorstep before christmas day? (im guessing the answer will be yes for ds, no for psp)

which do you think represents better value for money?

what good games are coming soon after the launch?

when is ridge racer DS out?

any games actually making use of the stylus on the DS in an interesting and playable way?

will i have problems with connectivity if i buy either machine on import and them my friends get uk machines?

i know i can use an sp charger for the DS, how do i go aabout charging the PsP?

given that the only ds launch game im interested in is SM64x4, and the only psp launch games im interested in are ridge and vampire chronicle, which do you think i shuld get?

Yes for DS probably not for PSP

Value for money is a difficult one because its saying one is better than the other. I like both but think that features wise the PSP has more going for it. However the DS is more of a gaming only system.

Ridge Racer DS is coming out on 7th December apparently.

Interesting and playable? Feel the Magic.

The DS is region free. No problems there.

PSP no idea how to charge. Lik-Sang / Play-Asia seem to do versions that are import friendly.

    Get a DS. Right now.

I think you should read the impressions in the news forum and first play sections. It's so much better to make your own mind up with regards to your gaming tastes, I can see this thread just turning into another sad fanboy battle.

Both machines are cheap - it's down to you what you get in, read the impressions of the DS games in first play, it'll make you smile. Then check out the official Ridge Racer for PSP site and it's videos, it you love Ridge there's no way you wont be excited by this game.

        Agree with Ginza's answers.

In the interesting use of the stylus I would add Yoshi's Touch and Go.

As for the charging of the PSP it comes with a multi-voltage adapter. The only thing you'll need to charge it in the UK is a travel plug (which PA and lik-sang are giving for free).

If you definitely want it before Xmas go for the DS. Otherwise do as Saur said and check the other threads, only you know which one is best for you.
