Banned XBox

Well, I got snagged last night :/

Chip was off, but I had a downloaded save on my HDD (which is a stock HDD, btw - and the Xbox has never been upgraded or anything, I didn't convert / whatever it is I need to do to the save file to get it working).

Went on live, couldn't connect. Banned.

Arse :/

I have config magic, and the save has since been deleted from my HDD. I just need to know what I need to do now, and exactly how to go about it. Quickly, too... I've got SF 3 tournament game to play against fuddle before thursday >_<

How do you know your definitely banned? Sometimes I just have connection problems and cant get on.

I think you need to just change your HDD Serial Number. If that doesn't work, you'll need an eeprom as well as a new hdd serial number. If I were you, head over to the xbox-scene.com forums and have a gander...they'll probably have solved it by now.

I do have another Xbox (currently also known as 'the wife's dedicated halo 2 machine' ;p).. so I can use that for the tourney. But! My modded one was all setup nicely through an x2vga box, with my arcade stick sat nicely on the desk in front of the monitor. Ngh.

Had a brief browse over at xbox-scene late last night.. I'll look into it further now... bah :/
