    A few NGage questions

Got my QD this morning, I like it so far but there are few things I'm a bit lost on.

    1. How do I get on NGage Arena? I understand I have to have GPRS access. Do I need to have a phone contract for that or can I use it on my top-up service but pay a sepearte bill?

    2. I'm interested in a few of the emulators that are available, specifically the C64 one. How do I get these from my PC to the phone? Is there a way to plug MMC cards into a PC as the QD doesn't seem to have any wired connectivity.

    3. Why are there no vertical shooters for the NGage? The screen ratio is perfect for it?

    4. Does MAME exist for the NGage?

    1) You should be able to connect thru your standard paygo sim. Check you're on GPRS not GSM for internet access in your connection settings.

2 and 4) Yes, there are quite a few emulators (including Commodore 64 and MAME) for Series 60 (eg NGage) phones. I've got a site with downloads for all of them. I'm not sure if I should post it on here, so I'll PM it to you.

    3) Because no one makes games for the NGage. TBFH.

Thanks man. I guess that means I have to spend a few hours in O2's automated phone mazes. I hope when I finally get to speak to someone that they know what they're on about.

Thanks for the emus too. Can't wait to be playing 1942 on the bus, the way it's meant to be played. Take that GBA.

Edit - Oh, and how do I get them from my PC to the MMC card?

Buying a bluetooth dongle for your computer is the easiest. Look on eBuyer or something. They're only about ?20.

Ta, hmm, thats a little too rich for my blood.

I know they used to be free with subs at a few phone shops, but I don't know any that have them in stock now...

Try www.gbax.com or even CeX. I think both of those do the old style one for about ?50ish.
