    Eve Online Tour Guide required...

I've just signed up to Eve Online and am looking forward to not having a clue what I'm doing.

Don't know if there are any space bucaneers floating about in here, but if there are I wouldn't mind a few pointers if you have the time.

Didn't someone on here have an Eve Online avatar?

Look forward to seeing some of you online.

I still have my account, although I'm not very active these days.

Do you have any specific questions? It's a tough game to get to grips with, and there is plenty to take in, so you're best bet is to just get a feel for it and see how you get on. Once you get stuck into it, you'll soon have plenty of questions.

One thing I will recommend, is to get to grips with the skill system as soon as you can, and start training up necessary skills such as navigation(to get you around quicker obviously) and some of the skills that'll help make you some money, such as mining skills and basic fighting skills so that you can get out into the belts and mine and/or kill some NPC's. Get out of your basic ship as soon as you can, and get a frigate with decent cargo capacity(to help with the mining) and/or a decent ship to help you tackle those pirates. Having a couple of decent frigates will help you get stuck into some agent missions too.

You could do far worse than speak to the lads in PIE. I'm sure someone wouldn't mind answering some questions in the public forums there, or other posts may contain the information you need anyway.

I put a good 3000 hours into EVE, fantastic game. Anyway, forum link for the EVE lads top left: PIE.
