    NTSC SNES P.S.U Info !

Hi i have picked up a U.S.A SNES & GAMES but no power supply.

I notice that the uk NES/SNES is not compatible with the U.S.A unit
Have been to MAPLINS in Uxbridge & they r no help whatsoever !
the unit said 9v & they attempt to sell me 18v computer power supply, & refused to sell me the pin connector .

So my question's are what power supply do i use ?
    Can i use a spectrum +2 P.S.U ? without modification ?
Who supply's the pin connector & can u modify a sega megadrive or nes P.S.U
Hope you can help, as i would like to get this set up asap.

    Thanks

The US machine has a nice weird connector, take the machine to maplins and ask them to sell you a connector to fit the machine (they do sell them) then ask for a PSU (multivoltage is fine) that does 9V at at least 800ma. Set it for negative tip and away you go.

Sounds about right. My US SNES is running off a UK Megadrive power supply and an adapter to connect it to the console.

Maplins sell the US snes connector for under a quid, and a 9v psu that will take different ends for ?4.99.
