Where to get Action Figures from in UK?

Basically i'm looking for some Metal Gear Solid (MGS2 if i can get them) and possibly Resident Evil and Starcraft figures. It would seem there are few sites that are UK based that offer them at a decent price (Most are 100% markup on U.S. prices)

So does anyone know anywhere that sells them at a decent price? I've checked Popcorn.co.uk, but they seem to have very little, and i know about Epicheroes.com (although i'd rather not pay their rediculous prices)

    Anyone?

Mods: Not sure if this is meant for Q&A or Off Topic, so please move as appropriate.

MGS figures (and Halo, Resi, Ninty and SF2) figures were on sale cheap in Forbidden Planet (the ex-Another World kind) last time I went in... some only about a fiver.

    Instore: don't know about online.

I was in the one through Newcastle last week (Forbidden Planet that is) and it had tons of figurines and stuff like that, so there would be a good place to go first.

I can't remember if they had any of those that you're after, I recall seeing lots of Simpsons stuff.

The last time I was in Chips they had MGS 2, Halo, StreetFighter, Nintendo Power, McFarlane Terminator and two Soul Calibur Figurines - hangin' on the wall.

The ex-Another World Forbidden Planets are sub-monickered "International" (to differentiate them from the "other" Forbidden Planets - some kind of fallout between the founders).

I went into the Derby one today and they had Tron 2.0 figures out for ?3.99, (old) MGS for ?6-8, SF2 for ?8.99ish, Halo out on sale, Resi out on sale... it might be store-specific as I don't think such stuff sells well in Derby...

This website is for sale! forbiddenplanetstore.com is your first and best source for all of the information you’re looking for. From general topics to more of what you would expect to find here, forbiddenplanetstore.com has it all. We hope you find what you are searching for!

Could also give Travelling Man a go, if there's a Gamestation near you with one instore.

At Consett: Left handside infront of the Counter.

Chester-Le-Street: Left handside just as you go up the tiny stairs.

Don't use Forbidden Planet's online shop. The level of service is shockingly bad ( unless you like paying extortionate P&P prices, and like having no idea of if your item is in stock, been dispatched, delayed etc etc )

Be warned with those MGS2 figures mind, they're really awful quality. I bought the Solid Snake and Raiden ones and wished I hadn't bothered. Snake looks like some kind of 80's throwback

                    Supposed to look like this

Pretty cool huh ? Instead, you end up with this :-

lol it does look a bit ****. heh Ginger snake!

Its not for me like its for a mate. The other mate i cant think of what to get him. I figured he likes Halo, so some sort of Halo paraphernalia will do

Halo 2 figures are what you want - but you can only get them from the US at the moment. Check out this bad boy I took delivery of yesterday

Sorry for the crap camera phone picture, but its 7" of Plastic Pleasure

Comes with combat rifle and duel wielding machine guns.

Looks so much better than my Green Master Chief

It would appear the Newcastle store and Derby store belong to different companies.

So that buggers that up royally :P I'll still give them a ring anyway

Heh. Snake looks like Dave Mustaine with a haircut.

P.S. I wasn't recommending FP online, just showing what they stock

Yeah sorry, I posted my rant about FP Online as you were posting the link

They're your best chance of obtaining figures and collectables in the UK, its just a shame that their internet service is so shoddy. Epicheroes prices are comparitable to FP's and delivery is often a lot faster but they just don't stock the same range of stuff
