5.1 Speakers suggestion needed!

For christmas someone wants to give me a 5.1 speaker system to be used when playing games(xbox)/dvd's.

Im a bit clueless with these things, and have approx ?120 to spend. Comet seem to do all their speakers with dvd players included, is this normal. Ive seen a '4 gamers' 5.1 set for around ?100- is this a rip off or is it actually quite good.

Any advice would be much appreciated!

The DVD players that come with the speakers won't be of any use for your consoles as the decoder will be built into the player rather than being separates ( well most of the deals you see in Comet and the like at that price anyway ).

This will serve your purposes for your price, the compromise is the ability to expand. You'll need to spend a few hundred if you want to get into separates and better quality.

what decoders do I want to play xbox games generally (sorry if stupid newbie question)
