Problem with my forum

No, the problem is not the fact it is deserted. For some reason, people can't upload images as avatars. Off-site linking seems to work but stuff coming from peoples computers is not working. Does anybody know why or how I can sort it out?

confused me a bit, the avatar would have to be stored on the web somewhere, you can't link to someone's PC for it (sorry if that is blatantly obvious)

Sorry, I will try to be a bit clearer. The 'Upload a new image from your computer' section won't load any images at all for anybody, been trying to figure it out for ages now?!

I assume the upload dir has write access for external users?

or the upload dir has been created?

Almost always a permissions problem. Upload folder needs to be public writable.
