Winning Eleven 6 = Pro Evo ?

The GC game,Winning Eleven 6,is comparable to which Pro Evolution game?
Winning Eleven's are up to 8 now are they not,so does that make it Pro Evo 2?
Or am i chatting fart?

Pro Evo 2 is probably based on WE6 (non-FE)?

Pro Evo 2 = 10/25/2002
WE6FE = 30/01/2003

WE7 = PES3
WE8 = PES4

The GC version was WE6 Final Evolution which is effectively PES2 with knobs on. So I suppose you could say it's PES2.5 or something. Suffice to say that particular version was never relased here.

Disagree. I actually prefered WE6FE to WE7 until WE8 came out which was better than it imo.

PES2 was a shambles. WE6 was great, PES2 was made arcadified, WE6:FE was great again.

WE6 (esp. WE6FE on the Cube) is far superior to WE7/Pro Evo 3. I haven't played WE8 but I just bought Pro Evo 4 and, IMO, it's as good as WE6FE...maybe better. I'm not sure yet

They are dire..... My mate had iss2 and iss 3 i'm not sure how they can be so rubbish.

The WE titles (aka Pro Evo) are made by KCET and the ISS titles are made by KCEO (essentially the Tokyo and Osaka branches of Konami). Now the ISS titles for the SNES/N64 were great, but they seemed to have lost their way on the current gen platforms, whereas WE started slowly and has gradually gotten better as time has gone on.

ISS = arcadey, WE/PES = more realism.

It's always been the way and apparently the two dev houses are great rivals.

ISS on the PSX was excellent though but I think that was made by KCET? That was THE game of the 32 bit era for me...I absolutely loved it

WE/PES are definitely better than the current gen versions of ISS though

If you mean ISS Pro (circa 1997), then yeah, that was also based on a Winning Eleven game like the PES series is now.
